Our client and their challenge

BT wanted to create an exciting experience in their physical showcases that would take visitors from their customer communities – anyone from a CIO, IT director or market analyst to a BT trainee – on a tangible journey into the possibilities and practicalities of their new technology. big group were asked to develop a uniquely immersive and meaningful experience that would work for each type of visitor.

Our process and solution

over 50 pieces of content created

BT needed a way to present dynamically, to illustrate their innovative capabilities and how they bring these to every customer solution. They needed a number of different ‘workspaces’, with cloud-based, customer-specific content that could be accessed, viewed and edited from anywhere.

big group built a story around BT’s four core pathways for digital transformation: the Digital customer, the Digital business, the Digital employee and security.

Using Prysm touch-screen displays, big group developed seven live workspaces in total. These covered ‘The Digital Possible’, an overview of the digital transformation story; the four core digital pathways; the BT Advise story, and an impressive ‘Why BT?’ showcase story, involving a VR experience to give it an added ‘wow’ factor.

In total, we created over 50 pieces of ‘digi-canvas’, editable Prysm slides, an immersive ‘360’ 3D view of the network diagram, a video screensaver and an immersive VR experience, all of which work together to create a new showcase experience. All content is editable and scalable, so that it can evolve for future showcase events.


The result and the impact

BT Showcase has been transformed to take customers fluidly through the four core pathways of the digital transformation journey, and engage them with innovative, collaborative and exciting presentations, that ultimately help drive business results.

The refreshed BT Showcase was opened by former England Rugby Union Captain, Lawrence Dallaglio, and Ashish Gupta, President of BT’s Global Services division in the UK. Thirty-six customers attended the launch event, with BT’s CEO and leadership team attending soon after.
